Allow the admin to set certain parameters to create a better activity feed. Similar to X/Twitter, where you can 'weight' certain criteria that boost certain posts higher in the feed. For example, posts with more engagement, or users with more followers etc, might have their post's boosted. This would be especially helpful for large busy sites, to avoid seeing boring posts all the time.
