Thank you for your excellent work on the platform. To make the Forum Discussions module truly powerful and competitive, we are missing two critical features that are standard in modern forum software.
1. Topic Prefix System: This is our most needed feature. We need the ability for admins/moderators (and optionally users) to add prefixes to topic titles, such as:
[Solved]
[Question]
[Bug Report]
[Suggestion]
[In Progress]
Why it's critical: This system is essential for organization. It allows all users to instantly see the status of a topic, filter by topic type (e.g., "show me unsolved questions"), and makes the entire forum look far more professional and manageable.
2. "Best Answer" / "Mark as Solution" Feature: This is a vital function for any Q&A or support-based community.
Why it's critical: The original topic creator or a moderator must have the ability to select one reply and mark it as the "Best Answer" or "Solution." This:
Highlights the correct answer immediately for future visitors.
Saves time for users facing the same problem.
Motivates community members to provide helpful answers (gamification).
The "Activity Topics" feature on your roadmap is good for the activity feed, but it does not solve these two core organizational needs within the forum itself.
Adding these two features would dramatically improve the user experience and functionality of BuddyBoss forums. Thank you for your consideration.
