We’re working on bringing powerful Gamification tools to the BuddyBoss Platform — designed to help you boost engagement, encourage participation, and reward meaningful interactions across your community.
While we’re still shaping the final feature set, here’s a glimpse at what’s on the horizon:
- Displaying points directly in user profiles for easier access and visibility
- Earning points through blog and content activity
- Introducing leaderboards to inspire healthy competition among members
- Exploring reward store integrations for redeeming points
- Fun and motivating popups to celebrate user achievements
- Earning coins and points for taking part in community actions
- Expanding gamification into social group activity and recognition
Our goal is to help community owners unlock deeper engagement by giving members a reason to come back, participate, and feel recognized — all within the experience they already love.

This complete gamification suite is included in the new BuddyBoss Plus plan.
Note: We are still working on supporting gamification in the app.

While using the gamification feature, I notice we do not have an option for adding points for completing courses or starting a course? Also, for subscribing to a membership level. Can we have this added as part of the Buddyboss membership feature and user blog feature in later updates.

Can you please include crypto wallet reward redemptions please, using Wallet Connect a user could redeem their rewards into Crypto wallets, this would unlock a whole new use case and something GamiPress is horrid at.

Reaction triggers are needed ASAP! Love the interface and easy setup vs Gamipress free version which I was using which made configuring to BuddyBoss limited also but getting this upgrade and not having that is a loss for me. I also wish there was an option for notfications - many persons are relunctant to visit daily or constantly but when they are notified they just gained a point (maybe someone liked an image or post for them) it encourages them to participate.

We need the ability to transfer/donate points to another user, like in GamiPress.

Loving it thus far. I would love to see an integrated multivendor shop for the community and link the gamification to it so uses can choose between using points or cash card to purchase items, or once they achieve a certain rank, they start receiving discounts on store items, and we can set different discounts for different ranks and achievements.

Could a 'mark as completed' and a click button feature similar to Gamipress also be included to allow for actions that cannot necessarily be captured by just visiting a page etc.

This wouldn’t remove the need for GamiPress in many cases. The planned gamification seems more focused on community-related activities within BuddyBoss only, but it cannot replace the wide range of features and capabilities that GamiPress offers. Many users have already built complex ecosystems of add-ons around GamiPress over the years. In my view, a deeper GamiPress integration would be a better solution than creating another layer of gamification on top of what users are already relying on. Perhaps a good approach would be to add an option: enable the built-in gamification script for those who need a simple solution without installing GamiPress, but still leave the freedom of choice for those who won’t abandon their existing GamiPress setups.

This will be a great addition. Are there plans to integrate it with Tutor LMS and for members to be awarded 'achievements' not just points?
