With our community growing we are flooded with activity posts stating that users X and Y are now connected or user Z joined group ABC. This is pretty frustrating, because users miss the actual content and feel overwhelmed.
I would suggest putting these types of messages on a separate page (and possibly a widget, too). It's good for occasionally looking up if there are interesting people or communities showing up. But for everyday use this is pointless.
Alternatively we could build a filter which is off by default. How about this?
And: Why on earth is it possible to like and to comment these types of activities? Can we turn it off? It takes up far too much screen space!
