You should replace the standard menu on mobile and desktop with round Avatar photo. Clicking on the avatar the drop menu would appear. That drop down menu should have easy access to most needed settings and features similar to Facebook. It would be nice to have feature on the theme or on the platform where you could see the users that are friends with my friends are on recomended list randomly placed on the website same would go for groups.
